grrrrr...argh!

I'm super tired today and the doughnuts my husband bought (grrr...argh) are tempting me beyond normal!  So, "booooo" on Todd (that made me feel a little better).  Do I workout, or go to the church to work on the Whale the kids will be climbing in tonight?  Shrug...I'm grumpy!  I don't want to exercise today...I want to eat a doughnut and go back to sleep!

I've lost 7lbs and inches are coming off in random places but, they are coming off.  I haven't been super perfect with the diet but, I have stayed true to exercising most everyday.  My main goals are to exercise and eat clean.  I'm still losing...just not as fast as I would like.  :(

The last two weeks have been tough!  It's a busy time and I'm feeling stretched on every side...that is why I'm grumpy and the half eaten doughnut my son left is looking like a temporary fix to my emotional storm!  I think I just needed to vent that out!  I'm heading down to exercise now!

There you have it...welcome to my morning!

4 Pounds Down and a Handful of Potato Chips

It's been one week and I have lost 4lbs!  Crazy!  I haven't felt it in my clothes but, I am feeling better about myself mentally.  I think that's the key!  I tend to be a little neurotic about having everything in order and the one thing I have never felt in control of is my health.  Well, that's changing!

Getting up at 5:30am every morning has been a love/hate battle.  I love it because the voices that call, "MOMMMM", are absent for a brief moment. I hate it because it's dark and the birds are way too cheerful!  I love it because I have time to mentally prepare for the day.   I hate it because I grit my teeth from sneaking around my house.  But, I choke down my pre-workout drink (white cherry flavor is gagging me), and roll out my yoga mat and wait for the annoying p90x elevator music.

I have to admit that I've snuck a handful of chips into my mouth last night...and maybe a spoonful of Haagen-Daz Carmel Cone ice cream.  Oops!  It could of been worse!  Usually my "slip ups" tend to be more gratifying but it doesn't taste as good for some reason.  I blame my husband because he wasn't home to stop me (smile).  It feels better to blame him.  Actually, I should mention that my husband has been so encouraging and supportive!  He's not eating the yummy potato skins with sour cream in front of me.  He waits until I'm gone or asleep.

Sleep is oh so sweet right now!  I don't think I have slept this good in years!  I tend to go to bed around 9:30 every night and it feels good!  Yes, that makes me old, but I'd like to think of it as being wise!  :)

Time for my breakfast!  White egg omelet with feta cheese, 1/2 of a grapefruit and 1/2 of a whole wheat English muffin.  So excited (Not)!

My Face is Chubby...

I'm smiling right now because I put on my headphones after hearing "Mommy" five times (They are in bed and trying to milk every moment they can to stay awake).  Listening to Billy Joel sing, "I don't care what you say, this is my life," I feel liberated!  Yes, I'm that kind of Mom!

I've been preparing to start P90X...for those of you who don't know what that stands for, neither do I!  I just know that it's an intense 90 day, 1 hour workout that includes a bland diet and a buff looking guy who keeps saying, "Embrace the struggle."  I'm embracing a little craziness, but, I'm in it for 90 days!!

This morning my husband and I enjoyed a quiet breakfast at LePeeps.  It was quite lovely until we started talking about P90X.  Then the "dreads" slowly crept into my gut.  My husband, trying to motivate me, begins to explain that when I gain weight it tends to go to my face first.  Before you get angry with my husband I have to tell you that this is something he would never say to me normally.  I knew he was trying to get me fired up so I would hit the yoga mat!  It worked!  Tomorrow at 5:30 a.m.  I will drink my pre-workout drink and warm up my stiff muscles and quickly begin to sweat.

Wish me luck, pray for endurance and throw in some encouragement!
